Loughborough Foxes Women’s and Girls Football Club is a local football team who play their home matches in the village of Wymeswold. The club originated in Shepshed and was renamed Loughborough Foxes in memory of Rachael Fox who played for the club but sadly died in 1999.
The club currently has 4 girls’ teams, Under 12’s, Under 14’s, U15's and Under 16's who will play in the Leicestershire Girls Football League. The girls teams have all been very successful last season both on and off the field. the U14's reached the final of the county cup while the club won the Charter Standard Regional Club of the year for 2008.
The women’s team have gone from strength to strength and will be moving up to the East Midlands Women’s Premier League following back to back promotions.
All of the players and supporters are very committed to the Loughborough Foxes Football Club where the emphasis is on having fun and enjoying the game of football. If any business would like to become involved with this very exciting sport of girls and women’s football, sponsors would be very welcome for the forthcoming season. The club is always looking to develop and grow with 15 new players already signed on for season 2008/09
